Dr. Jian Zhang of The Ohio State University Received Funding from The National Institute of Health for his Research on Asthma

Dr. Jian Zhang, Associate Professor, Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity, received funding for his grant titled, "Metabolic dysregulation and therapeutic intervention in asthma," from the National Institutes of Health from June 23, 2015 through May 31, 2017. The funding for this project will help Dr. Zhang and his team explore how metabolism is controlled in asthma and impact on pathogenesis, at the level of precise cellular mechanism and amenable to pharmacologic manipulation. This is an emerging new research area that will enable us to develop novel therapeutics intervention of targeting metabolic pathways for inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
